Every open source project runs into people who are selfish, uncooperative, and disrespectful. These people can silently poison the atmosphere of a happy developer community. This video shows the a presentation by two developers of the Subversion project discussing how to identify these people and peacefully de-fuse them before they derail your project.

String on a fence, air hose at a local bicycle store and a couple images of a car encased in ice.
Thanks to my favorite neighborhood blogger, EV Grieve for cluing me into the location of the frozen car. This car quickly became the most photographed vehicle in the neighborhood. By the time I got there, photographers and reporters were swarming about and the owner had already chiseled about 2/3 of the car out of the ice, although he seems to have hit the back window a bit too hard.
