english is strange

Jenna and I were discussing some of the strange constructs of english, for example saying "used to" as reference to something you did, liked, or experienced in the past. I used to feel healthy, and hopefully I'll kick this fever and infection soon and will again. Which brings me to the other strange thing I've been thinking about. Although they are primarily used in different contexts, caretaker and caregiver are essentially synonyms. go figure.

still ill. a bit shocked I managed to post anything today

been on my back most of the day, but I'm determined to keep this daily posting thing going

Union, YES!

Tomorrow is the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, a tragedy that pushed the idea of Labor Unions forward. I can only imagine what future tragedies we will be commemorating if we do not push back on the current wave of anti-labor legislation.
